I remember my favorite birthday was when I was in Saint Augustine, Florida, US, the oldest continuing city in the US. I actually lived in Boca Raton, Southeastern Florida at the time, and Saint Augustine is by Jacksonville, in Northeastern Florida. I used to live in Jacksonville. We went there so I could take a placement test for the school of the oldest parish in the US, a Catholic parish. We were at a hotel and went to the beach. The weather was so dreamy there. I took the longest on the test and probably checked a few times, but I passed. They don't really have that test anymore, as of last I'd heard.
It was very dreamy to walk downtown. We were the 2nd closest house to downtown. There was this walkway of old buildings that was so dreamy and "cozy" with little shops. There were a lot of preserved things throughout the city but not a hoard.
The school wasn't half bad. I liked being in school/church choir, which I was in most my life growing up. We were there 3 years. I took piano, too, from one of the music teachers. I got to play and accompany at church. The church there is so dreamy.
It was interesting the teachers got so ticked off. I remember once I was coming in late because I was left behind in church choir I think, and the teacher was just like, "Hi, Christina," like nothing was wrong and so happy/pleased.
I grew up there and matured in the old Spanish culture from 1565. The modern looking computers and internet with everything like e-mail came out. It wasn't popular long enough it seemed, things like instant messenger. Webcams weren't popular yet. I remember the one run down building somewhere near downtown that had all our signals; it was so cool.
